Introducing Custom Dashboard Widgets and Saved Views

Your dashboard should work the way you work. Build your own overview with drag-and-drop widgets and switch between saved layouts instantly.

Your dashboard should work the way you work. We’re excited to announce that InventoryOS now supports fully customizable dashboards with drag-and-drop widgets and saved views. No more one-size-fits-all. Every user can build the overview that matters to them—and save multiple layouts for different contexts.

What’s New

Drag-and-Drop Widget Layout

You can now rearrange, resize, and organize dashboard widgets freely. Drag widgets to new positions, pull on corners to resize them, and create the layout that fits your workflow. Each user can set up their own layout—no more being locked into a fixed grid that doesn’t match how you think.

Available Widgets

Our widget library gives you the building blocks for a powerful overview. Choose from:

  • Device count by status — Online, offline, retired at a glance
  • Compliance score gauge — See your overall compliance health
  • Recent device activity feed — Latest check-ins and changes
  • Software installation breakdown — Top 10 apps across your fleet
  • Devices by OS distribution — Pie or donut chart of Windows, macOS, Linux
  • Alerts & notifications panel — Stay on top of what needs attention
  • Organization quick-switch — Jump between orgs without leaving the dashboard
  • Storage/disk usage overview — Aggregate view of disk usage across devices

Saved Views

Save multiple dashboard layouts and switch between them with one click. Create an Operations View focused on device status and alerts for your daily triage. A Compliance View with compliance rules and violations front and center. Or an Executive View with only high-level KPIs for leadership reviews. Your views are saved per user, so your setup stays personal.

How to Get Started

Getting started is simple:

  1. Click Customize on your dashboard
  2. Drag widgets from the panel onto the canvas
  3. Resize widgets by dragging their corners
  4. Click Save View and give it a name

What’s Coming Next

We’re just getting started. On the roadmap: shared team views so your team can use the same dashboard layout, scheduled dashboard email snapshots for automated reports, and a custom widget API for power users who want to build their own widgets.

Custom dashboards were the #1 requested feature from our users. Thank you for the feedback—we build what you ask for. Have more ideas? Share them at feedback@inventoryos.com or through our support portal. We read every request.
